Getting Started To get started with Cadena 2.x we suggest you start by reading the article published in IEEE Computer in February of 2006 entitled CALM and Cadena: Metamodeling for Component-Based Product-Line Development. Once you complete that overview you can read through a SAnToS technical report entitled A Type-centric Framework for Specifying Heterogenous, Large-scale, Component-oriented Architectures. At this point you will be familiar with the goals and theory behind Cadena and CALM and will be ready to start reading the applied materials. This includes the Cadena 2.0: Manual, the Cadena 2.0: OpenCCM Tutorial, the Cadena 2.0: nesC Tutorial, and the Cadena 2.0: nesC Manual. While you read through that material you should have Cadena 2.0 installed. To find out how to download and install Cadena, please see the Cadena 2.0: Install Guide as well as the Cadena Update Site (for Eclipse's Update Manager) or the Cadena Downloads Page. Another source of information is the Javadoc API for the core portion of Cadena. This is useful when trying to integrate with Cadena (either using Python scripting or in Eclipse plugins). |
